A directory tells you where something is. Fathom Finch aims to tell you whether it's worth going, whether you can dock, what to expect, and what other boaters have experienced. We'd rather show you a smaller set of places you can rely on than a large one you can't.

Every fact in Fathom Finch is traceable to where it came from. AI helps us build a foundation of place information at scale; the boating community refines and corrects it over time. No single source — AI, a marina's own website, or a boater's firsthand report — is treated as automatically authoritative. Information becomes trusted only once it survives verification.

We're early, and building deliberately: the boating season is real, and we'd rather ship useful, accurate information on a cadence that respects it than move fast and get it wrong.
